Introduction
The Operational Planning in Oil & Gas course is designed to develop the technical, strategic, and coordination skills required to plan and manage field, plant, and logistics operations effectively. Given the complex, capital-intensive, and high-risk nature of the oil & gas industry, this course focuses on how to align production goals with resource availability, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and market conditions.
Participants will learn how to create integrated operational plans that support continuous production, minimize downtime, manage constraints, and ensure safe and cost-efficient operations across the value chain.
Objective
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of operational planning in oil & gas
- Translate business goals and production targets into executable plans
- Integrate drilling, production, maintenance, logistics, and supply chain plans
- Apply risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Manage resource constraints, shutdowns, and unplanned events
- Use KPIs and digital tools to monitor and adjust operational performance.
