Introduction

The Process Engineering for Non-Process Engineering Professionals course is designed to provide non-engineering professionals with a practical understanding of the key principles, concepts, and processes in process engineering. The course covers the fundamentals of process flow, equipment, operations, and systems used in manufacturing and industrial processes. Participants will learn how process engineers design, optimize, and troubleshoot industrial processes to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This course aims to bridge the knowledge gap between technical and non-technical personnel, enabling them to better collaborate with process engineering teams and understand the language of process engineering.

Objective

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Gain a solid understanding of the fundamental principles and terminology used in process engineering.
  • Understand the key components of industrial processes and how they are interrelated.
  • Learn the role of process engineers in designing, optimizing, and maintaining industrial processes.
  • Develop the ability to communicate effectively with process engineers and understand technical discussions.
  • Apply basic process engineering concepts to improve collaboration and support decision-making in process-related tasks.

Audience
  • Managers and supervisors who interact with engineering teams
  • Operational and production staff without a formal engineering background
  • Sales and marketing teams working in industries with complex processes
  • Procurement, project management, and logistics professionals in industrial sectors
  • Business analysts and non-engineering professionals seeking to understand process engineering concepts
