Day 3: Switchgear and Circuit Breakers

  • Understanding the role of switchgear in electrical systems
  • Types of circuit breakers (MCB, MCCB, ACB, VCB, SF6)
  • Installation and operation of circuit breakers
  • Protection and isolation in electrical circuits
  • Maintenance and testing of switchgear and breakers

Day 4: Cables and Conductors

  • Types of electrical cables (power, control, communication)
  • Sizing and selection of cables for different applications
  • Cable installation techniques and methods
  • Electrical conductivity, insulation, and material choices
  • Common issues and maintenance for electrical cables

Day 5: Protection Devices and Troubleshooting

  • Electrical protection systems (fuses, relays, surge protectors)

  • Role of earthing and grounding in electrical protection
