Introduction

The Hydrogen Industry Fundamentals course provides a comprehensive introduction to the hydrogen industry, covering the fundamentals of hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization. This course explores the role of hydrogen in the global energy transition, its potential as a clean fuel source, and the technological, economic, and regulatory aspects shaping its development. Participants will gain an understanding of the various hydrogen production methods, the challenges of scaling up hydrogen infrastructure, and the opportunities it presents in decarbonizing sectors such as transportation, industry, and power generation.

Objective

By the end of the course, participants will be able to understand

  • Understand the key concepts and terminology of the hydrogen industry.
  • Learn about the different methods of hydrogen production (e.g., electrolysis, steam methane reforming).
  • Gain insights into the storage, transportation, and distribution of hydrogen.
  • Explore the role of hydrogen in the global energy transition and decarbonization efforts.
  • Understand the current and emerging markets for hydrogen, including its use in energy, transportation, and industry.
  • Learn about the regulatory, economic, and policy frameworks driving the growth of the hydrogen sector.
