Day 1: Introduction to Pipeline Energy Efficiency

• Overview of pipeline systems and energy usage
• Key concepts in pipeline energy efficiency

Day 2: Understanding Energy Consumption

• Factors affecting energy use (friction, pressure)
• How pipeline design impacts energy efficiency

Day 3: Energy Auditing and Performance Monitoring

• Techniques for energy audits in pipelines
• Tools for measuring and analyzing energy performance

Day 4: Optimizing Energy Use in Pipelines

• Best practices for energy-efficient pipeline design
• Energy-saving technologies (VSDs, efficient pumps)

Day 5: Maintenance and Long-Term Energy Management

• Preventive maintenance for energy efficiency
• Monitoring and managing energy over time
• Developing an energy management plan

Pre-& Post Tests will be conducted.

Methodology

A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions will be managed to maximize the amount and quality of information and knowledge transfer. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. You will also be encouraged to raise your questions and to share in the development of the right answers using your analysis and experiences.  Tests of the multiple-choice type will be made available daily to examine the effectiveness of delivering the course.
