Day 1: Introduction to Construction Quality Control

• Quality standards, codes, and regulations
• Key concepts: Specifications, drawings, and contract requirements
• The role of quality control in project success

Day 2: Site Inspection Basics

• Types of inspections in construction projects
• Inspection processes and documentation
• Tools and techniques used for site inspections
• Safety considerations during inspections

Day 3: Managing Construction Quality

• Developing a quality control plan
• Material and workmanship quality checks
• Testing procedures for construction materials and components
• Managing non-conformance and corrective actions

Day 4: Advanced Site Inspection Techniques

• Inspecting foundations, structures, and utilities
• Site inspections for HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations
• Use of technology in site inspection (drones, digital tools)

Day 5: Reporting, Documentation, and Problem Resolution

Methodology

A highly interactive combination of lectures and discussion sessions will be managed to maximize the amount and quality of information and knowledge transfer. The sessions will start by raising the most relevant questions and motivating everybody to find the right answers. You will also be encouraged to raise your questions and to share in the development of the right answers using your analysis and experiences.  Tests of the multiple-choice type will be made available daily to examine the effectiveness of delivering the course.
