Introduction

This training course on Stress analysis covers the design requirements of various Piping Design codes in terms of critical piping from the point of view of temperature, pressure, wind and seismic loading conditions, vibration. It imparts knowledge of importance of Stress Analysis in all aspects of piping engineering from point of view of Piping Specification, Piping Layout to certain aspects of fabrication, erection and inspection / testing. It gives in-depth knowledge of Pipe Support Engineering

Objective

The Pipe stress analysis is one of the prime aspects which decides the plant safety. Piping codes do mention about various aspects of stress analysis. However, there is no enough knowledge of code and standards observed as reading and interpreting the code is difficult some times. Further the software are used for the analysis making this subject a Black box some times.

The course starts with the fundamentals required to perform Pipe Stress Analysis. It also talks about the International code requirements, best industry practices and then ends with Practical application of Pipe Stress Analysis using “CEASAR II” software to build piping system models and to analyses the output.

The piping Engineer with knowledge of “Pipe Stress Analysis” can work in all core engineering industries (viz. Refineries, Oil and Gas, Petroleum sector). He / She will able to deliver independently in areas of Piping Design, Layout and Analysis

Audience

Any aspiring engineer, he/she can be a trainee engineer, designer, Sr. Engineer, Plant Operating engineer, Project engineer or a Manager, who wants to clear his/her fundamentals clear and wants to know more about this subject and software can attend this course.
