Introduction

The course covers the hazardous area concept, classification and electrical equipment selection in these hazardous areas. In order to properly cover the subject, electric energy theory, gas categorization, temperature classification, methods of explosion protection, routine maintenance of electrical equipment, fault diagnosis and safety practices in these areas are included. This course is a must for anyone who is involved in the selection, operation, applications, or maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
